Camcorder has black yellow & red connections – TV has white yellow & red connections……?
…is there a lead I can use?
I want to use my TV to show my camcorder video – The camcorder has black, yellow and red phono type connections, but the TV has red, yellow and white!
Is there a lead that will convert or can I use a standard red/yellow/white patch lead and use the white as black?
In any lead of that type, yellow is always video, black or white is always the left audio channel, and red is always the right audio channel. “Red is Right” is a way to remember it.
Of course, all the leads are the same electrically. Colour only helps you connect things correctly.
