Technology At Its Greatest
Fibre optics is a wonderful technology that uses the speed of light to send data at high speeds. This amazing technology was introduced over twenty years ago. Back then it was an expensive technology that was seldom used. These days with it being easier to manufacture the price has come down and it is now widely used in various underground and above ground projects such as telecommunications and the mining industry. This fabulous technology has pave the way for the future.
Over the next few years, hard-wire cables will become extinct, these will be replaced by the latest fibre optic technology. Using the speed of light, this amazing technology will be able to send data at high speeds, which lowers the need for electrical currents. In its core, there is one or more thin strands of quality optic glass which provides a pathway for the light to flow. They are very thin enabling large amounts to be put together which allows large amounts of digital information to travel long distances at the speed of light. The fibre optics cable runs through the core of a cable and then enclosed in cladding which refracts the light inwards. For added protection, strength members are added and then it is enclosed in a moisture jacket or covering. For the data signals to be transmitted, the cables must be connected to an optical transmitter, turning electrical and analogue signals into light signals.
Fibre optics technology is definitely the way of the future. It has less impact on the environment then what electricity does and provides faster more efficient communications and high speed Internet. The beauty of these cables is that they can be laid over huge distances and still maintain the speed and integrity of the data begin transmitted.
These cables can be bent and twisted and still transmit the data at the speed of light without distorting the data being sent. This is amazing technology and it is constantly being improved by technicians. If you have a project that needs high quality cables, then you can’t go past fibre optic cables.

Historical explanation of a rainbow Photo Mugs Formation of a rainbow, coloured historical artwork. The diagram shows the paths of two beams of light from the Sun (top left corner). These are refracted and reflected within two raindrops (at the top of the rainbow). It is shown that red light is reflected back at an angle of 42 degrees to the incident ray, while violet light is reflected back at an angle of 40 degrees. The violet component of t… |

Jupiter, infrared Gemini North image Photo Mugs Jupiter. Near-infrared image of Jupiter, showing the Great Red Spot (white) and a smaller red spot (Red Spot Junior) that formed between 1998 and 2000. The spots are a reddish colour in visible light. The colours here indicate cloud height, from high altitude (white), through blue to lower altitudes (red). The bright areas around the poles are polar stratospheric hazes. Jupiters red spots are mass… |

The Art of Describing: Dutch Art in the Seventeenth Century $24.96 “The art historian after Erwin Panofsky and Ernst Gombrich is not only participating in an activity of great intellectual excitement; he is raising and exploring issues which lie very much at the centre of psychology, of the sciences and of history itself. Svetlana Alpers’s study of 17th-century Dutch painting is a splendid example of this excitement and of the centrality of art history among curr… |
