COBY Snapp mini digital camcorder?
horrible camrea already, my first problem with this shit cam is What editing soft ware can i use for the camrea i got a couple but none work and it’s getting really annoying.
I know of what you speak. Coby isn’t my first or 91st choice of a camcorder. But you do what you can and learn from it.
I don’t know if you have Mac or PC so I’ll split the difference and try to say what should work for both. Since you didn’t say which model you got I looked up the Cam3002.
It shoot in Motion JPEG with a file extension of .AVI
If it is the plain vanilla .avi then almost any video editing program can open it.
One way to test that is to drag a video onto the computer and double click it. Windows Media Player or the Player for the Mac should open and show yo what you have.
The second thing I would try it to use the import function to make sure that editing program locates and opens the correct video in the required format. According to the specs:
AVI (Motion JPEG), VGA (640×480) @ 30 fps,
QVGA (320×240) @ 30 fps
Make sure that your editing program is set for standard def and not high definition.
If that doesn’t work then you might need a converter program. I believe and recommend free or open source software like MPEG Streamclip or Handbreak.
