Everio Hdd Camcorder
using premiere elements 4 when i try to play certain clips from my JVC everio the software crashes :S?
i am running adobe premiere elements 4 on windows vista home premium. I am using this on my new Acer laptop. These are the specs: intel core 2 duo processor T5550 (1.83 GHz),NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS graphics system, 2 gb of RAM, 250 gb hdd (with more then half free memory) and blu-ray player. When i try to play or even scroll past certain parts of some clips in the timeline the software crashes leaving only the message “Adobe Premiere Elements.exe has stopped working”. I’m am getting all of my clips from my JVC Everio HDD camcorder. Why is this happening and how can i fix it??? Please help, this is the second computer that hasn’t been able to use premiere elements and is the only software out there that can work with my camcorder. THANKS!!!
I wonder if you are not running out of RAM, even with 2 gigs, video is very memory hungry.
Look to increase your virtual memory, bump it way up, to 1 gig if you have the room, and it looks like you do.
Check that the software and the computers software are not crashing into each other in the sound wave area. If your program makes a beep when you do something, and Windows decides it wants to make a beep too, this can cause a crash.
