what type of film cameras?
why do some blue ray films look like garbage
and you can see a blue tint? also what makes old films look better like i.e. john carpenters thing. and why do they film with less lighting so u cant see the monster in horror flix?
and the type of cameras used? i notice when an older film is digital it doesnt pixalate like new films?
Film hasn’t changed much throughout the history of cinema. It’s only been made out of a few different things. The reason older films look worse is that film deteriorates (some types a little faster than others). However, some films are well preserved or well restored. I remember seeing a DVD of Keaton’s The General from 1926 that looked stunning.
However, a DVD is a digital presentation of a movie, so the film must be converted from film to digital format. This is where a lot of quality issues come from, specifically with blu-rays, when a film isn’t prepared well in it’s conversion.
