Glasses Camera Video

Does anyone own a patent on a camera that can optically measure volume and trigger a function?
For example, a camera is set to observe a glass that is slowly filling with water. When the glass is half full, a signal is triggered to pour the water out of the glass. Does anyone own technology where a VISUAL cue, (such as observed volume or a change in color), is acquired through camera or video means, and triggers some sort of effect in response to a preset value (for example: turn the glass over when it becomes half full).
That’s just software, not a function of the camera.
the camera sends images to a computer that makes decisions on the images and on predetermined criteria. Not very difficult, depending on the level of decision making required.
