Which software Is capable of editing video taken from SONY HDD camcorder?
I already have pinnacle studio plus v10.8? Will it be able to do the job??
Agree with fenderguy… HOWEVER, you did not tell us WHICH Sony HDD camcorder you are using.
For standard definition, highly compressed MPEG2 files, worst case is that you convert them with something like StreamClip

For highly compressed AVCHD (MTS) files, check your Pinnacle Studio Plus for AVCHD (MTS/M2TS) file compatibility. If yes, you are good to go – if not mentioned anywhere in the application’s documentation, then you will have some “next steps” to take.
You also did not tell us what CPU, RAM or available hard drive space is on your computer. They, along with the editing application and other video tools you might use, are part of a system that needs to work together.
