Would a Composition B Fragmentation Hand Grenade still be lethal if it’s only the size of an old Pocket Watch?

I saw a movie that had the typical “Secret Agent/Spy” gadget of a pocket watch that acts as a fragmentation hand grenade when the key chain is pulled, just like a real frag grenade’s pin is pulled. The guy who invented it in the movie, said it used Composition B explosives. That’s the same stuff used for the US Army’s M67 grenades.
Is this still actually lethal if it exploded directly on a person face, in REAL life. In the movie, it was thrown, and exploded on the enemy’s face. Of course, in the movie, there was nothing left of the enemy but his shoes. In real, life, is this lethal, or can a person survive an explosion?
The next scene, it landed on the enemy accomplice’s back. Same thing happened. Is this still lethal?
The amount of explosive increases the blast radius.
But it’s the fragmentation effects that actually kill people.
Short answer-it would be lethal at very short ranges (like mentioned, basically touching people). It would also be impractical.
