Aftermarket replacement side mirror parts interchangeable with OEM?
I knocked out the side mirror of my 08 Accord and have an aftermarket mirror on the way. It comes unpainted, but I was wondering if I can take off the painted part of my broken OEM mirror and swap it with the unpainted part on the aftermarket one, to avoid paying for a paint job, since the paint is unscratched. Does anyone know if this is possible? Are aftermarket OEM-replacement parts built exactly the same, or do they just look the same?
They look the same outer but could use different internal attachments.
