The JVC Picsio is the latest pocket camcorder to enter the market and has out-shined the competition by a mile. Not only does it surpass the features of the popular Flip camcorder, but the quality far surpasses the Flip as well. With the holiday season coming up, the JVC Picsio is sure to be a hot seller.
Size
The JVC Picsio is one of the size of the Flip, which means it’s the size your average touchscreen mobile phone. Pretty small as far as camcorders are concerned. These aren’t called pocket camcorders for pointless. The Picsio can easily easily fit in your front or rear pocket. Ideal for taking to a child’s soccer or baseball game, or simply for fooling around with friends. The simplicity makes it a great accessory to take with you everywhere.
Quality
So far as pocket camcorders are concerned, the Picsio may be the first pocket camcorder to offer 1080p HD quality video recording. It’s the option to change the quality of video you shoot in order to take less space about the flash drive. But for the highest quality on a pocket camcorder, 1080p was unheard-of so far.
So far as still pictures, the Picsio offers 8 MegaPixel digital image quality, ensuring that any pictures you take will be of the top quality and won’t be outdated within a few years. Even some standalone digital camera models still don’t offer 8 MegaPixel image quality. The photos are incredibly clear and detailed as well. You would be challenged to inform the main difference between photos taken using the Picsio and a standalone digital camera.
Outputs
The JVC Picsio GC-FM1 offers both USB and mini HDMI outputs, meaning your video but still images could be output to either your PC or your HD television for viewing. Video is recorded in .MOV format, which means it can be directly uploaded to your favorite video sharing site like YouTube. The .MOV format also result in the video files to allow them to be ported over to an iPhone or video iPod.
