What’s the best USB thumbdrive to live in my pocket and run applications on?
I’ve had two thumbdrives die on me from just basic use (walking around, plugging in and taking out). They’re too hideously convenient to live without, though. Anyone have recommendations for ones that last? Opinions about ones that run apps well would be welcome.
I like the Memorex mini Travel Drive 1GB which I got for $50 after a rebate. It can run U3 applications and includes Thunderbird and McAfee anti-virus (I’m still not a fan of it but it came free with the drive), I have since installed Firefox and OpenOffice to the drive. It’s not much of a deal when they aren’t offering rebates on it.
