Connecting a DVD Recorder and a DVD Player to my television?
I have a DVD Recorder and a DVD Player and I want to connect both to my television so I can play home movies and record them at the same time onto another DVD. Can this be done? if so can a DVR be connected to the DVR recorder also? I do have S-Video and AV jacks on back of the television and DVD recorder and player as well as the DVR.
You can record DVD’s that you have made yourself but coppying purchased DVD movies is illegal and bad wrong. And also it wont work. The DVD recorders have copyright protection in them so they wont accept a encrypted DVD signal. Im not sure about the DVR but since some DVR’s have DVD burners built in I guess you could give it a try. You will probably have to hook the DVR up to the DVD burner input and hook your TV up to the DVD burner output. Then you could record stuff off of the DVR. But its just gonna look like crap when you get a HD TV in 2008.
