What size mini horse should I get?
I want my mini horse to be able to pull a cart. What size mini should I get?

I have been riding horses all my life. I already have a riding horse.
I have a 38″ donkey that pulls a cart…but his cart is pony sized and a little too big for him even though he pulls it just fine. He is too big for the mini sized cart though. That said, I wouldn’t get one more than 36″ tall but no less than 34″ tall even though I’ve seen minis as small as 32″ and smaller pulling carts. Don’t buy your cart or harness until you have a mini you are happy with. Who knows? You might fall in love with a small pony or a larger mini and the mini cart and harness will be too small. You can benefit greatly by joining a mini horse club in your area. Most of the local clubs don’t cost much to join and you can get the benefit of lots of experience. You are bound to find someone that can help you with training and driving if you need it.
