Transferring pictures with a virus on my computer?
I have a virus on my computer, i think its spy-wear, so im going to just reboot my computer. i want to put all my pictures from the virus computer to my laptop, using a flash drive. If i do that will it give my lap top the virus?
You run the risk of infecting your flash drive, and then reinfecting any other system you plug that into. My advice is the following:
Try running scans with the following programs. They are all free and can be downloaded from download.com
1) Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
2) SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition
3) Avira AntiVir Personal
4) ThreatFire
If you still want to format your computer after this, at least you know that the infections are gone. However, I would also recommend you reinstall the programs after formating to avoid reinfections.
