Voice Video Recorder
Why don’t airlines have video recorders in cockpits with their voice and data recorders?
After every crash they look for the voice and flight data recorders to find out what happened. The data recorders tell the investigators what the instruments read, what controls were used, etc, and the voice recorders reveal what the pilot said to each other. Why don’t they have video recorders to show what the pilots were doing? Hopefully they don’t have video recorders due to a perceived privacy issue, because what two people do with hundreds of lives in their hands should be everybody’s business. Even if only the recorder only played back the last 5 minutes it could be helpful.
